Fire Groove Gear is owned and operated by Lester Mooney who is one of the original founders of the business in 2005 and one of the 3 Fire Groove siblings (Hannah, Kamala, and Lester). Fire Groove Gear is dedicated to flow arts and has been for over a decade of high quality performance grade fire dancing equipment. Our fire dance equipment is built in Los Angeles California and we encourage you to stop by our showroom of poi, staff, torches, fire fans, carbon fiber, technora, hardware, and kevlar. All of our items are built and assembled at the Gear Shop in Los Angeles California.
Once you have mastered the skill of Meteor Rope Dart what could be more exciting than doubling your fire and adding a brand new genre of opposing momentum! Meteor rope dart allow the user a wide range of movement, wraps, poi like tricks, and even staff moves all wrapped up into one amazing tool.
Our meteor rope dart are handcrafted with the finest quality of ropes utilizing each of their best aspects. The leashes are built from Dart Rope which is known for its non abrasion and extreme strength properties (5,000 lb load limit included wih the splicing). Since this is one of the heavier dart apparatuses it is essential to use this silky smooth rope. The Meteor Rope Dart is spliced into a Heavy Duty Swivel which is then attached to our high heat resistant (up to 900 degrees) Technora Rope. The whole rig allows it to be extremely light all the while ridiculously strong! We use 4" of chain at the ends to ensure no degradation to the technora and we use our "No Split Ring" system to make absolutely certain there are no snags that could take place. Choose between small monkey fist heads and large monkey fist heads.
